Typically, the elbow should be placed in a protective removable splint for 4 weeks following surgery, with supervised physiotherapy during this time. After this, it is anticipated that with supervised muscle strengthening exercises, a progressive return to normal function will be achieved within 3 to 4 months following surgery.
How long will the LRE System elbow last?
Just like any mechanical system, the more you use it over a period of time, the more likely it is that it will require renewal. However, clinical evidence shows that under normal daily activities the LRE system has continued to function well in excess of 10 years! Check out our clinical studies here.
What activities can I resume post-surgery?
Due to the unique bone conserving design of the LRE system, clinical studies have shown that patients are able to return to typical daily activities prior to developing painful symptoms.
